Ishita Sharma was born on 8 February 1988 in Gaya, Bihar, into a family of filmmakers. Apart from being an actor, Ishita is a trained Belly Dancer, a Kathak dancer and also is the founder of AAMAD- a dedicated dance, martial arts and yoga studio in Versova, Andheri.

Ishita moved to Mumbai at an early age to fulfill her dreams. She is one of the very few actors to have made appearance in the small screen after starting off on the big one. Her first project was an English movie “Lions of Punjab Present” in 2007. The same year she had another release – “Dil Dosti Inc”. The very next year she got a chance to work in the movie “Sakkarakatti” and later on, she got “Dulha Mil Gaya” in 2010 which proved to be a turning point in her career.

She played a very important role in the movie “Dulha Mil Gaya” and thus was noticed by the audience. After that, Ishita appeared in an advertisement for “LIC”. She became famous after essaying the role of Anjali in “Kuch Toh Log Kahenge” which was telecasted on Sony TV.
