Deepti Gupta, a Pakistani actress, was born 28th July in Delhi to a Hindu Family. She graduated from Delhi University with B.A (English Literature). After being moved to
New York, she did her M.A (Theatre Studies) and M.F.A in Acting in University of Texas, Austin. Having an ardent interest in acting, Deepti encouraged herself in her stream and had given aloud success.

Her ex-spouse Larry Pontius, a playwright and screenwriter, are one of the most highly paid TV writers. Deepti Gupta and Larry together started their production company named, Hamari Films. The very first project of their production company was a short film “Happy and You Know it”. This short film revolves around the anxieties and fears of a pregnant girl. The movie also greatly deals with the problems she endures in becoming a mother.
After the period of victory by “Happy and You Know It”, their successive short films were Umbrella, Body Logue, 2nd Sundays. Deepti is also working for various officials across the globe, with a Home-Studio setup. She has been voicing for commercials in radio and also several audio books etc. She took the pride in recording the Hindi version of “Journey to the Stars”.
Neeyat, a drama set in NewYork written by Larry Pontius casting Deepti Gupta in it has earned applause worldwide. The plot goes around a Pakistani guy named Sikander, living abroad with a temporary visa. To make his living permanent, he takes up the nerve to marry an American Citizen (Mariam), a fake marriage. Eventually, as the plot goes by Mariam wins over her husband’s heart at the end.
