Raheel Butt

Raheel Butt is a multi-talented Pakistani actor, model, and video & radio jockey. He was born on 6th January 1983 in Karachi, Pakistan, where he completed his school and set off to chase his dream of working in the film industry. His career started as a VJ on Aag TV, which made him quite popular in a short period mainly due to his comical presentation. He was soon cast for Geo TV’s hilarious four-part comedy-drama series ‘Kis Ki Ayegi Baarat,’ beginning with a supporting role in the series’ first installment “Azar Ki Ayegi Baraat” (2009). It was succeeded by “Dolly Ki Ayegi Baraat” (2010) with Raheel playing the lead role of Nabeel Menon opposite Natasha Ali as Dolly Menon. Nabeel’s character received much appreciation from the viewers and Raheel continued to portray it in the subsequent sequels of the series: “Takay Ki Ayegi Baraat” (2011) and “Annie Ki Ayegi Baraat” (2012).

In his next undertaking, he increased the intensity of his acting mood as he switched from his usual comic roles to a serious one in ARY Digital TV’s “Khushboo Ka Ghar” (2011). He was equally brilliant and comfortable at displaying grave emotions as he was with funny expressions. It was the stepping stone for Butt onto his next role in Hum TV’s “Humnashee” (2013), which made him a household name in Pakistan. He appeared on the show as Safir, son of the protagonist Hassan Munir (played by Adnan Siddiqui). The same show aired in India in 2015 under the name “Kabhi Aashaan Kabhi Ajnabi” on Zindagi TV. Later, Hum TV cast Raheel for another of their productions, “Dramay Baziyan” (2017), a comedy drama. Butt is currently working on the next part of the ‘Kis Ki Ayegi Baraat’ series and serves as a radio jockey on Radio 96 FM.
