Mantra Mugdh, popularly known as Mantra by the wider mass, was born to an Indore-based family on 21st August, 1982. He was born and brought up by Chandra DasGupta, who is also a celebrity and Prabir DasGupta, a well-known publisher. Mantra started his glorious career through spreading his mesmerizing voice through Radio Mirchi across the city of Mumbai, in the year 2006. He worked for all the leading radio stations of India, namely Red FM and Radio City.

He served as a voice over artist for about a decade. For his contribution as a radio jockey, he has won the RAPA and Promax award. He walked the ramp as a successful model, and has achieved a high level of fame as a host at various award functions and reality shows like ‘Zara Nachke Dikhaa’, Índia’s Got Talent’, ‘Jhalak Dikhla Ja’, and ‘Çomedy Circus’ that gained him popularity. He featured in many commercials for Windows phone, Yummies, etc. He is an immensely talented theatre artist, who was brought up under the guidance of Barry Jone. He has showcased his appearance at many theatre productions like Divya Arora's Melody of Love, Sohaila Kapoor's Ouch, and many more. He made his first silver screen debut with the show ‘Lagegi’on Bindass channel in the year 2007. Later on, he successfully hosted two other shows on Channel V, named “First Day First Show’, and ‘G-Spot’. He has finally bagged his first film ‘Dil Patang’ as a single lead that is directed by Vivek Daschaudhary, which is awaiting a grand release
