Joe Baath is a versatile Indian chef, master of ceremonies (M.C.), radio jockey and television anchor. He was born and raised in Panipat, Haryana, where he attended the local Kendra Vidyalaya. He enrolled in the TAFE (Technical and Further Education) Institute in New South Wales, Australia, pursuing a course in automation.
He earned his first wages as an automobile engineer in Australia from where he migrated all the way back to Delhi to become a fashion model. He later joined the Times FM as a radio jockey in 1995. A year later he became the master of ceremonies for the musical concerts of the iconic Punjabi singer, Daler Mehndi.
He accompanied Mehndi on his tours across the globe for eight years till 2005 when he was hired by ESPN to anchor the wrestling show TNA in Hindi on its Indian broadcast network. In 2010, he participated in the first season of the cooking competition TV series “Masterchef India.” His excellence in cooking, a skill which he had gained vicariously over a decade, made him the show’s first semifinalist and took him to the top four before he was eliminated.
He also hosted WWE on Ten Sports India for a short span. He was the on-ground MC for the home matches of KXIP and Delhi Daredevils in the 2017 Indian Premier League. He founded Joe’s F & E in Gurgaon in April 2013, which is a company that focuses on innovation through a blend of food and entertainment.
