'. Ira was born on 8th May 1997 in Mumbai, Maharashtra, India. She has an older brother named Junaid Khan. Ira completed her education from Lilavatibai Podar High School, Mumbai. Ira is also an IB Diploma holder from B.D Somani International School, Mumbai. In 2016, Ira enrolled in University College Utrecht, Netherlands to pursue a bachelor's degree but later she dropped out.
In 2017, Ira worked as a Production Intern at Equinox Film Pvt Ltd. Ira was always interested in directing. In 2019, Ira made her first directorial debut by directing, 'Euripides Medea' with a theater production. In 2020, Ira worked as an Assistant Director at Tiger Baby Production Company. Later, In 2021, Ira launched a foundation known as 'Agatsu Foundation' that focuses on mental health issues. In November 2022, Ira khan got engaged to her boyfriend, Nupur Shikhare , A fitness trainer.
