Aditi Raval

Aditi Raval is a self-made name in the Indian Film Industry who used to be a Radio Jockey before stepping foot in the film Industry. Aditi completed her studies from the R.J Jibrewal Commerce College with the degree of Bachelor in Commerce. She got admission in the college through sports scholarship and was the volleyball captain of her team. She always had a streak for sports in her life. Her father had his hands in the cotton business, and Aditi used to help him with it from a very early age of thirteen years. She always wanted to be independent, so she helped him in return of pocket money. The lady started her career with Divya Bhaskar, when she auditioned for the Radio Jockey’s job. She got selected and joined the radio channel as an outdoor broadcaster. Aditi was the only one with no experience.

Hence, she found it difficult to adjust at first, but slowly she learned all the nuances of radio and got a prime time spot on the channel. She worked for the channel 94.3 MY FM in 2007. It was a one year job, and then she moved to 93.5 Red FM where she worked for the next eight years. Her workstation had its base in Ahmadabad, Gujarat. Aditi always wanted to do something big, and in an attempt towards it, she left her eight years old job as it doesn’t have any scope for personal growth. She wanted to explore other options in social media marketing and move towards the film industry. Being a movie buff, she started a blog to review a film which she even used to do while working for the radio. She also opened up a creative media consultancy which works into live shows, concerts, functions, promotional activities, and events.

The company is open for brand collaborations and consultancy also. She worked at the Panorama Studios in Gujarat as a supervising producer. Her company hosted the event titled Laughter unplugged which was a charity event in Ahmadabad. Promoting Gujarati films through promotions is also one of the aims of Aditi as she feels that they lack publicity even after being the product of intensive hard work and dedication. She introduced the first selfie workshop in India and also organized the #Showcase Uttarayan Campaign which got promoted on the international platform for the first time. It was a big success for her and the creative media team.

Aditi Raval, an ex-radio jockey and an infotainer is a popular media figure from Gujarat. She started off as a Radio jockey in MY FM in 2007 from where she shifted to Red FM in 2008. Having worked there as a radio jockey till 2015, she went on to become a consulting social media infotainer and supervising producer at Panorama Studios, Gujarat. Her hobbies include sports, media marketing, films, music, etc. A sports freak in her school days, she was the captain of the volleyball team in her college. Apart from that, she also did a lot of fashion shows, and dance shows in college and was indulged actively in choreography and modeling. A fiercely independent woman, she takes pride in earning and acquiring stuff she aspires for, right from her first bicycle to the car she owns today.

Her first opportunity came in just after she finished her third year of B.Com. Her friend’s mom informed her about Divya Bhaskar who was hunting for new RJs for their new radio channel. So, she gave it a shot and after qualifying all the three rounds she got selected. When she started her career as an RJ, she considered herself a misfit as everyone else was better qualified, with some having a background of working with movies and some of them being journalism graduates. She was initially assigned the work of an outdoor broadcaster whose work was to go to the field and record stuff. It took two weeks for her to host her first show. She then got selected for the OB jack before getting promoted to the prime- time show. She has also worked as a regional backup music manager, producer, regional social media manager, sound producer, film reviewer, and infotainer.

Aditi is now working as an independent social media and brand consultant for the entertainment industry. She is planning to launch a private company that will help people with branding and social media promotions. The company is under production and will be launched within a year. She believes in sharing unbiased reviews as she feels that it helps the industry to grow. “Criticism, on the whole, is a good thing. One can never learn from praises and appreciations, but criticism always help to learn. Therefore, I am always open to criticism,” she explains. She believes in people who are wholeheartedly committed to their goals and aspirations. She suggests people to prioritize their goals and give their absolute all in achieving them. “Hard work and self -belief is all that matters,” she signs off.
