Moirangthem Jayananda Singh or Jayananda Singh is an Indian footballer who plays in the left back position for Delhi Dynamos. Hailing from Imphal, Manipur, Singh was interested in sports from a young age. His father was the one who cultivated an interest and passion in Football by taking him to matches. Consequently, he started his career in 2010 when he was 11-years old.
Jayananda represented India at both U-14 and U-16 stages and has captained both the teams during his time. His performance in the friendly match against the German U-17 squad landed him a spot in the AIFF Elite Academy in Goa in 2015.
The same year Singh's U-16 squad participated in the SAFF U-16 Championship and won the title. The year 2016 saw the start of the young footballer's senior career as he joined DSK Shivajians and remained with them for the entire 2016-17 season but didn't appear in any of their matches. In 2017, DSK loaned him out to Fateh Hyderabad AFC where he played in 6 of their fixtures, and his versatility in playing center back or full-back garnered praises from the football fans.
The same year, Singh was part of the U-18 squad that participated and finished in third place at the SAFF U-18 Championships in Bhutan. His excellent defense skills played an integral role in the squad's performance. He only appeared in one match in the season where he played for 90 minutes with 60% passing accuracy, five tackles, and thirty-five touches.

Earlier this year, Singh was part of the 25-man squad of DDFC for the second division I-League for the 2018-19 edition. With two wins and five losses, the club finished 2017-18 at the 5th position at the 2018 2nd division I-League in which the defender played a pivotal role. Currently, he is looking forward to the upcoming ISL season in September and preparing for the same.
