Halicharan Narzary is a footballer who plays for the Indian national football team. He was born on May 10, 1994. He is a native of the north-eastern state of Assam and spent his childhood in a village in Kokrajhar. His initial interest in the game sparked after he began playing the sport in his hometown.
He represented his school football team and spent all his free time in perfecting every move of football. He then attended a trial at the Sports Authority of India hostel nearby and aced his game there. He further went on to play for the under sixteen National Championship in Mahilpur.
He gained recognition at the tournament, which led to his spot in the national U-16 squad and from there he went on to play for the national under 19 teams. Narzary played his first professional match in the year 2011 against Salgaocar and came as a substitute and soon after scored his very first international goal, but unfortunately, his team lost the game.
In the 2011-2012 season of the Football league, Narazary was opted out of the plans by the then coaches Sukhwinder Singh Sukhwinder Singh, an asset to the Bollywood Music >> Read More... , Sujit Chakravarty. Narazary made a total of seven appearances in the I-League. He never played in any match in the 2011 Federation Cup. While playing for Pailan's first match in the 2012-2013 season, he scored a goal against Delhi United team and led the team to a draw in the Durand Cup in the year 2012.
His second goal came while playing against Shillong Lajong on September 23rd in the same season. Narazary's ball hit the football net in the I-league against Mumbai on October 6, 2012, at Kolkata's Salt Lake Stadium and aided the Pailan team to a win with a score of 3-2. Audiences witnessed his next goal in the same stadium on 11th October 2012 leading the team to another victory.
His goals went through a lull period after that, until the December of 2012, when he scored a goal against ONGC, and his team won, finishing with a score of 4-1. Narzary moved to Dempo from IMG Reliance n 2013, played his debut match against Mahun Bagan.
He also represented the FC Goa during the ISL in 2014. Narzary's international debut was on October 31, 2011, when he played against Turkmenistan in under-19. India won the match by 3-1. He went on to play for India U-23 in 2012 in a game which India unfortunately lost. In the senior Indian team, he made a debut as a substitute for an injured player in 2015, in a game that India eventually won.
