Amit Modak is from Jharkhand. He is the world record holder in martial arts and got his name listed on the High Range Book of Records (10 strokes per second) martial arts. He won an international gold medal at the Gojuryu Karate Championship. He was the Indian trainer at the International Taekwondo University Cup. He is a national medalist in the Open Taekwondo Championship and the Kreeda Bharti Open Archery Championship. Modak is the Chief Instructor of the Jidokwon Taekwondo Association in Jharkhand and Jharkhand Gojuryu Karate Renmei. He is a martial arts trainer for Jamshedpur's Rapid Action Force (CRPF) Tata Nagar.
He is the state organizing Commissioner for Hindustan Scouts and Guides. He received the India Star Personality Award for his outstanding role in sports. He received the Swami Vivekananda Excellence Award for Best Rti Activist and Social Workers by the Target Foundation. This award is presented by the Secretary of State of the Police Association. He has been appointed brand ambassador for Jharkhand (Indian Student Games Federation).
