It was the first show of Marathi to be dubbed in international language i.e. Thai as Jay Martand on Zee Bing. The serial is based on the legendary character, Lord Martanda Bhairava aka Khandoba.

It shows the courage, strength, power, benevolence of Khandoba. Khandoba was called Malhar and worshipped in the whole of Maharashtra. Khandoba holds a very different place for the Maharashtrian people. Devotees of Malhar chant “Yelkot Yelkot Jai Malhar". The most famous place where Malhar/ Khandoba is worshipped is Jejuri.
