Ursula Vaz

Ursula Vaz was born into a family of highly accomplished singers and musicians. Her father’s name was Antonio Xavier Vaz, also known as Chic Chocolate. He was a Goan Trumpeter and one of Bombay’s best-known jazz musicians.He used to compose music for the Hindi Film Industry and also led a Jazz band at Taj Mahal Hotel in Bombay. Ursula has four siblings. She has two brothers,Philip and Irwin Vaz,both bass guitarists and drummers. Her sister, Yvonne, is also a singer and is married to Braz Gonsalvez, a Jazz saxophonist. Her other sister is named Kitu,a Jazz singer, and married to Steven Siqueria, another Jazz singer and keyboardist. Ursula Vaz is a singer and music director in the Hindi Film Industry.

She is widely popular for her workin the music department in the albums listed here: Deewar(1975),Yeh To Kamaal Ho Gaya(1982), Shapath(1984), and Shart(1986).
