Shashwat J Pandit

Shashwat J Pandit is an Indian singer-songwriter. He hails from the capital city of Uttarakhand, Dehradun (Devprayag). He was born and raised in Dehradun. This is the reason why he felt interested in promoting the Uttarakhand culture. Shashwat completed his studies at the Garhwal University, Srinagar. He studied M.C Biotech. The singer had completed his studies before he stepped into the world of music.

Pandit became a singing sensation with his singing style. His fusions created a blend of Garhwali songs in a unique style that attracted the youth. In 2018, he released renowned tracks like ‘Young Bikers Title Track.’ In addition to his stage performances, Pandit released his music on different platforms. Some of them are Bandlab Singapore Pte. Ltd. and ReverbNation. Shashwat wanted to showcase his talent to the world which is why he auditioned for Indian Idol season 6 in 2012. He was able to secure the Top 25 position in that season.

Shashwat pointed out that the youths of his culture felt ashamed of the local language. This is the reason why he made sure that he would keep his culture alive by singing and promoting Garhwali songs. The singer also has an official YouTube channel. With the help of videos, he helps his subscribers provide lessons on how to speak Garhwali. People love his simple and humble nature because, apart from national and international shows, he actively teaches singing to young kids at a school in Dehradun.
