Kriti Sharma is an American model, singer, composer, songwriter and a television actress in India who earned fame after joining the third season of the television reality show, MTV Splitsvilla – The Twisted Tale of Love on MTV India. She was the fourth from the five single girls who gets dumped by Mahip Marwah but returned in the finale as a runner-up. Kriti is also lucky to get a work as a model and has done many television commercials.

She acted as Ria in the youth oriented television series, Miley Jab Hum Tum on STAR One in year 2010. Her character appears after a leap in the story, where she falls in love with (played by ). But after some time, her exit from the show become very controversial as she allegedly keeps bringing her boyfriend on the set and it distracts other actors and staff. Kriti was said to be lacking with punctuality and this upsets the production house. Kriti had an interview in July 2010 to defend herself and blamed the production officials for their oblivious attitude towards her dilemma. But the officials of the production was not happy with her defense line. After submitting her notice, the actress was reportedly failed to attend her shoot and did not send any notice of her absence. The production was also charged of not providing her medical care when she was sick while on set. Later, her character was replaced in the show.

Kriti was born in New Delhi and it is always been her dream to become a successful singer. After she joined MTV Splitsvilla and all her journeys in India, she decided to moved to Los, Angeles, California to pursue her singing career. From there, she made her debut single, Baby What You Mean To Me, where she add instruments like Tabla and Sitar and mix it with a violin, drum, guitar and also a piano to create an extraordinary type of music. Later, she also did the music video of her first single under the production of Blare Video in Los Angeles. She consider herself as an American singer and songwriter with a flavor of her own country. It is her happiness to create music with a combination of electronic, alternative, dance, hip-hop and also with modern pop. Her first single was described as a ‘dance music with elegance’. Kriti stated that her family is her inspiration.
