Prajwal Shirke was the first kid to win the Adarsh Bal Kalakar, along with which he was able to conquer millions of hearts as well. The musical journey of this budding and young, talented singer culminated only after five months of tireless dedication, along with persistent efforts and the determination never to give up and quit. Prajwal Shirke was an expert in rendering soul-stirring devotional numbers at a very young age. As an eleven-year-old young lad, he took part in the Big Bal Kalakaar singing competition on Big Magic. This young talent from Gwalior, Prajwal Shirke, was honored as the undisputed title winner of this mega show which earned him a scholarship worth Rs. 1 Lakh and a contract to release his music album JVM Telecine. His performance at the grand finale made the audience dumbfound, said the people at the arena who witnessed that soulful rendition.
Subsequently, after tasting this glorious victory, Prajwal Shirke met the media and declared proudly that his ambition was to become a renowned classical singer. He also added that he was a die-hard fan of the Indian Classical Musician Ustad Rashid Khan and the Vocalist Pandit Bhimsen Joshi. Prajwal Shirke started singing at the age of four, and he has bagged several medals and awards, including state-level championships.
