The singer is from Uttaranchal and was trained in Gurukul by Sunidhi Chouhan. Mona also holds a Hons Degree in Music from Delhi University where she was thoroughly trained in the music at the faculty of music. She also holds another three-year diploma training in vocal music from Gandharva Mahavidhyalaya. Her voice later became a craze among the Indians who voted her absolutely for her soulful voice. She also became the promising singer in the musical reality show with the huge fan base. She is now learning music and willing to reach a higher level in the musical world. She also has sung a jingle for Western Railways, and given her youthful voice for cancer awareness programme for a London-based NGO.

Mohammed Vakil, a younger generation playback singer, was noticed in the musical reality TV game show named ‘Sa Re Ga Ma Pa’. In the year 1997, Mohammed Vakil was a participant but in 1998, he was declared the winner in this musical show. Noted playback singer Sonu Nigam was the host for the show when Vakil won the singing contest. This placed him in the world of playback singing, and he made his debut in films too. Mohammed Vakil was born at Jaipur in Rajasthan on January 25, 1976. He was born in a family of classical Ghazal singers. He gave his first stage performance at a young age of eight and later took a strong decision to establish himself as a singer. He was trained by his maternal uncles (Ustad Mohammed Hussain and Ustad Ahmed Hussain) who are Ghazal maestros. After his musical rigorous musical training, he won the musical (Sa Re Ga Ma Pa) contest. Later, his first album ‘Sapney’ hit the market. After which, he released two more albums, and every album had given some amazing Ghazals that can remain in the hearts of musical lovers still. In 2009, a musical video song ‘Keh Do Keh Do’ was sung by Mohammad Vakil for Sony Entertainment. After his musical albums had created a buzz in the industry, famous filmmaker, Yash Chopra signed him for his upcoming film ‘Veer Zaara’ which released in 2006. The film was a success for its poetic love story and one song ‘Aaya Tere Dar Par Deewana’ which was picturized on Preity Zinta and Shahrukh Khan. The music was composed by musician Madan Mohan. Thus, he got a chance to sing for a composition of veteran composer Madan Mohan. He had done rehearsals for this song at Yash Chopra’s residence and had impressed him. His musical journey has been very pleasing as he could perform many live programmes in front of Lata Mangeshkar, Pandit Jasraj, Anil Biswas, Jagjit Singh, Kalayanji-Anandji, O.P. Monali Thakur is a Kolkata-born playback singer and actress. Born in a musical family, Monali's father is a renowned Bengali Playback singer and her sister, Mehuli Thakur, is also a Playback singer. Monali's singing talent was initially recognized when she'd won the Best Playback Singer award at the 'Amandalok Awards', for the serial 'Sri Rama Krishna' at the age of 14. She'd been trained under Padma Shri Pandit Jagdish Prasad and Padma Shri Pandit Ajoy Chakraborty for Hindustani music. Monali's singing career started when she auditioned for Indian Idol 2 (the Indian version of Pop Idol) in 2005. Monali had been well acclaimed for her singing by the judging panel that included Anu Malik, Sonu Nigam, and Farah Khan. She was placed ninth in the competition, but recognizing her potential in singing; Anu Malik introduced her to Bollywood in the movie Jaan-e-Man. However, she had her share of struggle as a newborn in the industry. Her wait for a breakthrough had a full stop when Pritam Chakraborty gave her a chance in “Khwab Dhekhe” (sexy lady) for the Bollywood thriller 'Race'. This “Singing-Diva” is also a renowned actress. She first appeared on the screen in a Bengali soap 'Alokito Ek Indu', where she played the lead role Indubala. Her debut as an actor was in Raja Sen's Bengali film “Krishnater Will”. She made her Bollywood debut in the award-winning “Lakshmi”, where she played the role of a 15-year old village girl who gets trapped in child prostitution. The story depicts Lakshmi’s struggle and the way she fights back and win the case against the traffickers. Her flawless acting in this movie won her the prestigious South-Asian International film festival in Washington D. C for the Best Actress. She had made an appearance in the Aamir Khan starrer 'PK'. She will be seen next in Abbas Tyrewala’s multi starrer 'Mango', which is set to release later this year. Monali was also a part of a couple of short films like 'Jingle Bells' along with Nandita Das and 'Didi'. She was among the judging panel in the Bengali music reality show 'Bengali Sa Re Ga Ma Pa Li'l Champs' for two years. She was also a part of Coke Studio and had also appeared in the Bengali show “Key Hobe’s biggest fan”. Her field of expertise also includes Hip-Hop, Bharatanatyam and Salsa.
