Mamta Sharma is a very renowned playback singer of Bollywood. She was born on September 7, 1980, in Gwalior, Madhya Pradesh. The husband and wife team has started an institute in Kothrud, Pune, and its Marathi name is Mirekalsa Academy of Arts and Media Private Limited, ‘Miracles Institute of Acting’ for short. They conduct workshops for TV Ads and acting. Madhurani has played cameo in one of the films made by the couple, “Goad Gupit” (2003), with another actor by the name Aadesh Bandekar. She has also acted in a Stage Play that goes by the name, “TumchaAamcha Same Astaa”. She has worked as the music composer in the film, “Sunder MajheGhar”, by Vrinda Kirodian, which featured Shreya Ghoshal and also Sadhana Sargam, both the artists performing only on Madhurani’s request. She had been instrumental in the 48 marriages that happened during and after her show, “YandakartavyaAahe”. The Afternoon program in E-TV, “HichMajhiMaitrin”, is another TV show that she is famous for. As for future plans, while her husband is busy with the script of a movie, Madhurani GokhalePrabhulkar is busy planning a children’s music album that is rather a collection of poems that speak of moral values. “ Asambhav” (February 2007 to August 2009) was a serial in which she was cast in along with stars like Sunil Barve and the talented Urmila Kanetkar. The serial was directed by Satish Rajwade and was reportedly produced for Zee Marathi by Atharva Communications. In the music field, she has been credited with the album, “Tishnagi” (2009), with 4 songs, all with singer Peenaz Masani. She is also a host in the DD Sahyadri program called Music Track. In one of the many programs she has compered for DD, renowned Ghazal singer Suryaksha Deshpande has taken part and sung on her request. On 10th of June 2014, it was reported that the students of her institute at Pune, Miracles Academy,were making a ‘dharna’ and were seen making a complaint with the local police station for what they call irregularities and breach of trust against the management. The representatives of the complaining students reportedly have told the media that the institute had collected sums of around Rupees 65,000 as fees for a six-month course, and had made false promises of acting classes by prominent celebrities, and have also offered false promises of offering acting chances in the in-house productions.

Manhar Udhas is a Bollywood singer who sings in Guajarati as well. He became famous after the 1983 Subhash Ghai directed movie, “Hero”, which made the ‘Charminar model’ Jackie Shroff a highly sought-after Bollywood star, and which had the 1981 Miss India Meenakshi Sheshadri in the lead, was released on May 10th 1983, and the songs ‘Ding Dong’ with Anuradha Paudwal, ‘Pyar Karne Wale Kabhi Darte Nahi’ with Lata Mangeshkar, and ‘Tu Mera Hero’ have became quite popular and were super-hits during that whole decade. Manhar Udhas was born in Savarkundla, Charkhadi, in the erstwhile State of Gondal, in the present State of Gujarat, India. His father’s name was Keshubhai Udhas, and mother’s name was Jitubhen Udhas, and they were from Jetpur. Well-known singers Nirmal (Fankaar and Navazish Ghazals) and Pankaj are his younger brothers. He has released the album, “Lalkaar”, in line with the movie of the same name in 1970, which had stalwarts like Lata Mangeshkar and the evergreen Mohammed Rafi. Working together with his famous Ghazal-singing younger brother Pankaj Udhas, Manhar was instrumental in releasing several albums and actively took part in Live Shows. He has released in 2013, the album, “Aashirwad” at Australia and the next one, his 31st, in 2015, at the Gujarat government sponsored ‘Vadodara International Art and Culture Festival’. It was stated in 2003 by his brother Pankaj Udhas that Manhar became familiar with the works of poets like the 18th century Meer Muhammad Taqi Meer and the 19th century Mirza Asadullah Baig Khan (Ghalib), because of Maulvi Saeed Mirza who used to teach him Urdu and related music. He can sing in Punjabi and Bengali and several other languages effortlessly, like he sings in Hindi and Gujarati. In his singing career so far spanning more than 300 movies of different languages, he has worked with almost all the Cinema music composers, and most, if not all, of the movie Heroes have had his voice lent to them in the screen. He is actually a Mechanical Engineer by the education he opted for at his native Gujarat, and searching for a suitable job he landed in Mumbai in the 60s. But his interest in music since childhood made his brother-in-law, with whom he was at Mumbai, take him to Kalyanji & Anandji the music composing duo whose father is from Kutch, Gujarat, and young Udhas has started spending more of his time with the brothers in their music composing activities and sundry. His life-changing event came in the year 1969, on the day when the duo was composing the song ‘Aap Se Hum Ko Bichchade Huye Ek Zamana Beet Gaya’ that came in the movie “Vishwas”. It has to be sung in the voice of Mukesh but since the famous singer, whose full name was Mukesh Chand Mathur, was away and not available at that instant of musical moment, Manhar Udhas was asked to sing it so that the duo could prepare the sample recording of the song, the track of the voice to be replaced with Mukesh’s, later. But when Mukesh heard the song he not only praised Manhar Udhas for his perfect singing but also told the duo to leave the song as it was, and the song was a hit when the Jeetendra starrer was released.
