Keshav Dhanraj is a singer and songwriter, best known as the drummer of the Indian pop band, Sanam. He is one of four rock band members, marked as Fab Four! Other members are Saman Puri - the lead singer, his brother Samar Puri - the guitarist, and Venkat Subramaniyam (Venky S) - the bassist. The band is best known for re-creating Bollywood's old and new popular songs, with one of India's most popular music groups, with 4.4 Million subscribers and over 800 million views on YouTube over a short period of 5 years, from the old band, Project of SQS was re-registered as Sanam in 2014.

The band is also known as India's One Direction due to its rapid popularity and rose to prominence soon after winning the 2010 Times Music Hunting Talent Show in India. Venky played a key role in connecting his three friends, and the team was thus born. In 2010, Sanam Puri, Samar Puri Keshav Dhanraj and Venkat Subramaniyam formed a music band. The band 'SOS Superstars' was then auditioned for the Times Music Pop Band Hunt. After winning the competition, the band moved to Mumbai and was renamed 'Sanam' in 2014. The Sanam team won the award for Best Music Content Creator and Digital Icons of the year 2018.

Keshav's first music album project was released in 2011. Sanam Puri, Samar Puri, Venkat Subramaniyam (Venky S) and Keshav won the Times Music Superstars award in 2010. “The Radio City Freedom Award 2019” has honored Sanam Team with the leading Pop song of the year "Itni Door". Venky, a bus driver, introduced Keshav to the Puri brothers. He has worked with Zildjian, Pearl, and Evans as a product manager. In addition to independent music, the band has composed and sung several film songs. They also invite female artists to perform with them. Revivals of the past such as “Lag Jaa Gale, Gulabi Aankhein”, “O Mere Dil Ka Chein”, “Mere Mehboob Qayamat Hogi”, “Tere Bina Zindagi Se” etc were also great charts.

Updated genres of new songs such as Buleya, Bheegi Bheegi Raatom Mein, Samjhawa, Tum Hi Ho also received a warm welcome from their fans. Sanam has composed a song, "Main Hoon" to promote The Amazing Spider-Man 2 in India. The story of the Sanam band started back in 2010 when Venky and Samar, who were partners at the Indian School, Muscat decided to start a new band. Sam did so to give his younger brother a chance to sing. On their return to India, the Puri brothers became involved in a rock formation at the Delhi college campus.

Venky started playing bass with various bands in Bangalore and while he was playing the drums for Keshav Dhanraj in the college rock cycle, they made another musical outfit called 'The Front Band' which lasted for a while. Venky connected the three of them and started at Keshav's garage writing music together. They moved to Mumbai, and the band's trip was a huge success when they met Ben Thomas in 2012, who saw the real power of selling the band. As he suggested the group started a YouTube Channel to upload music videos without gatekeepers. The first song they uploaded was their original song 'Teri Aankhon Se', and they renamed their band Sanam in 2013. And some history.

For nearly 3 years the band has been working on releasing new single music consistently, and their popularity has skyrocketed as most of their videos exceed 3 or 4 million views within a few months of release. While three others attended an Indian school in Muscat, Keshav Dhanraj studied in India. He was born and raised in Coimbatore. He connected with Venky for a music cycle. Samar Puri is a student of Venky's class, and Saman is his younger brother.
