Almost every time after singing idol shows took off every year, another TV channel picked up the legendary singing competition for a new season to hunt the new talents in singing. This has been going for over a decade and hence we all have come to know about the new singing talents in our country.

Charit Dixit is famous for being a final contestant in India’s biggest musical reality show Indian Idol on Sony TV. He appeared in Indian Idol - season 1, but was rejected. Yet music composer Anu Malik stood like a rock behind this young talent and advised him not to give up hopes.

Composer Anu Malik told him to have patience and asked him to play a few more musical instruments in order to become an expert singer. On Anu Malik’s advice, the budding singer left Rajasthan and shifted to Ahmedabad. In the later five years, Charit Dixit fully got engaged in learning classical music, even had learned to play few musical instruments like harmonium, flute, mouth organ, dholak etc. Thus, he had prepared himself for the show once again.

Before giving audition for the reality shows, he was an acclaimed singer in AIR in Rajasthan. In the season-6 of reality show Indian Idol, the singer got eliminated (2012), which had judges like singers Sunidhi Chauhan and Asha Bhosle. Although he failed in his attempt at becoming the winner in the Indian Idol contest, the aspirant singer wants to make singing as his profession still.

Some of the famous songs he had sung included 'Aao meelon chalen', 'Kal ho na ho', 'tu hi re', 'meri maa' in Idea Bharat Ki Shaan singing star contest.

The singer now takes part in some singing shows in various cities like Punjab, Chandigarh, and Ahmedabad and also performs in resorts and enthrall the viewers with his melodious voice. Currently, he is married to Rini Pandya Dixit. The singer has met legendary singers like Lata Mangeshkar and Asha Bhosle and got blessings from them. It is believed that the singer has performed on stage with legendary singer Gurdas Maan in a rockstar program.

In order to remain attached to some profession, the singer was a trainee in a pharmaceutical company Zydus Cadila Healthcare in Ahmedabad a few years before. He still maintains his career in the pharmaceutical company.

Charit is well known for re-mix of the ‘Sunn Raha Hai Na Tu Orchestral Mix’, a track from ' Aashiqui 2'. This famous original track is sung by Ankit Tiwari and Shreya Ghoshal.

With every channel launching its own singing show, most contestants on these shows just get their fame, but there are a few who've stood the test of time. Charit Dixit is one such singer who stood the test of time and still enthralling the audiences with his magic voice in various cities today.

It is only a few contestants like Shreya Ghoshal and Sunidhi Chauhan became names in the industry, others kept singing either for private albums or even held stage shows later on. Few, however, could become Sonu Nigam, Shaan, Mohit Chauhan or Monali Thakur even.

Currently, the singer lives in Mumbai and is a great fan of actor Salman Khan. Hope Salman gives him a break in playback singing for his movies. Nobody can predict one’s future. Poorvi Koutish was the final contestant in India's famous musical reality show Indian Idol 6. She was born on January 3rd, 1994, in Chandigarh, Punjab. Poorvi Koutis, inspired by her mother, Veenu Koutish, a professional classical singer, started singing at a very early age. She is an Indian professional singer and stage artist, well trained in the genres like pop, country, old classic melodies, Hindi musical compositions, etc. She did her schooling at Chandigarh from KBDAV School, Sector 7. She grew up listening to her family performing, rehearsing and practicing. Her favorite singers and musicians are Stevie Wonder, John Mayer, Sunidhi Chauhan, Asha Bhosle, Lata Mangeshkar, R D Burman, A R Rahman and others. Her first stage performance was at the age of three at Chandigarh’s Rose Festival. She won many singing contests. Besides singing, she is involved in reading, writing and acting. She also makes her own music and writes musical compositions. Her mellifluous voice has won her a huge fan base. Neeraj Shridhar

Neeraj Shridhar is a singer(Indian), Bollywood music director born in Jalandhar. He is also a songwriter and lyricist. Neeraj married Nikila Shridhar and had two children. He used to be a lead singer in the rock band Bombay Vikings. It is a pop group that combines classical music and Indian music. Neeraj himself started it in the year 1994. The group received fame for the unusual combination of the indo-classic music. They became famous after releasing the remix of songs like "Chod Do Aanchal," "Woh Chali," "Kya Soorath Hai." Even in the Overseas, Vikings gained a huge number of fans. It is the first group to produce music in the mix of two languages Hindi and English which is also called as 'Hinglish.' Neeraj came up with this idea and started composing melodious songs. He always enjoyed both western and classical songs, hence, producing a combination of these songs blended well. The group performed in many cities in Europe. They mainly concentrated on playing English songs with Shridhar adding a bit of Indian classical music. In the present day, he is a well-known singer and Director in Bollywood.
