Mohan Kaul is an influential & recognized policy adviser, social entrepreneur, business leader, development specialist, and academician. He is a champion of international trade, investment, and developing markets. He has been a specialist in advisory, project management, business development, and investment consultancy since April 2012. Mohan Kaul holds a degree in Engineering from Madras Institute of Technology. Also, he did PhD in Management Science at the University of Paris-Sorbonne (1966 – 1971). In November 2007, he was conferred the honorary Doctorate of Letter by Cape Breton University Canada. He is also a fellow of the Chartered Institute of Personnel Development (UK), a Fellow of the International Institute of Training & Development (USA), and a Fellow of the Computer Society of India.

Mohan Kaul has been appointed as vice chair & member of the board of Directors of Indo—UK Institute of Health. He led several of high-level initiatives targeted at investment promotion & strengthening the investment climate, good governance, and corporate social responsibility. Over the past thirty years, Mohan Kaul has built an enviable rapport with the President and Heads of Governments across continents. He has also led over fifty high-level initiatives & forums, involving Heads of Government, top Business Leaders, and Senior Ministers. These initiatives have resulted in considerable investment in many countries including India, Namibia, Ghana, Uganda, Tanzania, Mozambique, and others. He has been a member of the Presidential Advisory Councils of Uganda, Tanzania, Mozambique, Nigeria, Zambia, Ghana, and similar councils in other countries. He has led many business delegations to India and various countries in Asia & Africa. He worked closely with the President & Government of Rwanda on mobilizing investment. 

Mohan Kaul is the chairman of Pontaq-UK Innovation Fund. He is also chairman of Global Investments Advisory Ltd and Executive Chairman of Algotech Ltd. He was appointed as Chief Executive Officer & first Director-General of the Commonwealth Business Council (CBC) in Edinburgh in October 1997. In 2004, he organized the first UK-India business leaders forum before the establishment of the UK-India Business Council of which Mohan Kaul was a founding director. In 2008, he developed the first “UK India Trade & Investment Flows Report,” prepared by CBC. In October 2010, he signed MoUs with key Chinese Companies in Beijing. He was a member of the board & chairman of the Governance Committee of ICICI Bank Ltd UK, and also a member of the Advisory Council of British Expertise.

Mohan Kaul is the author of several publications such as "Global Growth and the Commonwealth, 2010," "An Outsider's Inside View, 2000," "Public Enterprise Reforms and Divestiture, Australian Journal of Public Administration, June 1995," and others. As a writer, he has worked in many screenplay & films such as "Fiffty Fiffty” (1981), “Qayamat” (1983), “Do Dilon Ki Dastaan” (1985), “Avinash” (1986), “Loha” (1987), “Khoon Bhari Maang” (1988), “Kishe Kanhaiya” (1990), “Hum” (1991), “Qurbani Rang Layegi” (1991), and other. As an editor, Mohan Kaul has worked in the television series "Jai Santoshi Maa" (2001) and the film "Guddu” (1995). As a director, he worked in the television series "Badla” and “Kite Fight” (1965).
