J.P. Chowksey

J.P. Chowksey was one of the most renowned personalities in the Indian entertainment industry. His full name was Jai Prakash Chowksey. He was the most respectable person in the industry. For several years he was the president of the Central Circuit Cine Association (CCCA). Chowksey was a helpful and soft-spoken person. Along with films, he had been associated with newspapers. J.P. Chowksey used to write regular columns in newspapers. His ideologies and experiences allowed him to work on the column Parde Ke Peechhe. This column appeared in Dainik Bhaskar newspaper for almost 27 years. He wrote his last column on 25th February 2022. Along with films, J.P. Chowksey has penned various books. Before stepping into the entertainment industry he worked as a professor.

He worked as a lecturer at Gujarati College situated in Indore. He had worked with several of Raj Kapoor’s movies. Such notable films include Prem Rog, Ram Teri Ganga Maili, and Henna. Chowksey had also served J.P. Dutta in his movie named Border. Gulzar’s Maachis and Rakesh Roshan’s Kaho Naa…Pyaar Hai is also on the list. J.P. Chowksey had also introduced himself as a writer.
