Yash Pal Singh was born in the year 1926 on November 26th in Jhang, British India. He is from physics field. He is known for space science, education, a television anchor.The Government awardedhim Padma Bhushan(1976), Padma Vibhushan(2013), Marconi Prize(1980), etc. He was from Jhang which is now in Pakistan. He has known for his contributions the study of cosmic rays. He is an institution builder. In the leading science communicators in India Yash Pal is also one among them. His career started in Tata Institute of Fundamental Research (TIFR). The chairman of university grants was Yash Pal.

Pal was the first director of newly set up Space Applications Centre, Ahmadabad. Pal was made as the Secretary General for his works and assignments on Peace Uses of Outer Space. The post of a chief consultant, Department of Science and Technology,planning commission (1983–84) and Secretary, Government of India (1984–1986), after that appointed as a Chairman, University Grants Commission (UGC) (1986–91).When he was CHAIRMAN OF UGC, the setting up of Inter-university centers was advocated by him. Inter-university Centre for Astronomy and Astrophysics institutions are from his vision.

A committee was set up with Pal as the chairman, and the committee was started up by MHRD for Higher Education. He advocated some structural changes and Idea of a University. For his contribution to science and space technology, Padma Bhushan has been awarded to him by government of India. In 1980 was his work at the Space applications center in Ahmadabad, Pal was made Marconi. Public administration, academics and management, for his excellence, he was awarded the Lal Bahadur Shastri in October 2011.

The First Volume of book "Random Curiosity” was published and the second volume is in under process. The Chancellor of Jawaharlal Nehru University, New Delhi was Pal. Pal was assisted by Rajesh Yadav Rajesh Yadav who was born on 17th of December in t >> Read More... . He has received the Kalinga Prize from UNESCO in the year 2009 for the popularization of science. Rajesh Yadav was assisting Yash Pal. “Random curiosity” was written by Yash Pal.

The first volume of “Random curiosity” is already released. He explains scientific concepts in Layman’s language and also appears in a science program named Turning point telecasted on Doordarshan. In English daily The Tribune Yash Pal has a unique column, there he answers the questions asked by the public or readers. He is honored with the Padma Bhushan and Padma V Bhushan in the year 1976 and 2013 respectively.
