Punit Goenka

Punit Goenka is the managing director from India. He pursued his education from the University of Mumbai in B.Com. He is currently the chief executive officer and managing director of ZEE entertainment enterprises. He is married to Shreyasi. His parents are Subash Chandra and Sushila Devi. His brother is Amit Goenka. He is the eldest son of the Essel Group. He grew up in Harayana in India. He was elected as the President of the Indian Broadcasting Foundation. His first assignment was selling amusement park packages for Essel World. He worked as an assistant to the Essel company’s head, the floor supervisor, and the executive assistant. He then leaped forward and joined ZEE Music company. He was responsible for organizing the funding of Agrani. He was involved in the launch of dish TV. He released Dish TV with his uncle Jawahar Goel in Delhi. He then went on and participated in the ZEE sports channel. He was promoted to the business head of ZEE TV. He then became the CEO of the company. He received numerous accolades for his immense contribution to the entertainment industry. He was very dedicative during his entire career. During his career, ZEE won the dun and Bradstreet Corporate Award In 2015, an IMC fusion Award in 2013 for his mind-blowing contribution to the industry.

Mr. Goenka was honored with the Business Today “Best CEO Award” in the entertainment and media sector(2016). He was also bestowed with the MIPTV’s Medaille d’Honneur Award in 2016, Hottest Business Leaders Award in 2014, Young CEO Award by India Magazine in 2015, IAA Leadership Award in 2014 for Media Person of the Year’s category. He has also received the “Entrepreneur of the Year” by the Asian Pacific Awards in 2014 and “Impact person of the year.” He is a dynamic businessman with strong, decisive skills and amazing background in entrepreneurship. Goenka has been extremely successful in enhancing the revenue and company’s performance to reach its destined goals. He spread the company’s castle in over 171 countries and reached around 1 billion spectators. He has been recognized as one of the top 100 CEOs by Business Today in 2015, and ZEE went on to become the topmost entertaining brand all over the globe. Later on, he resigned from the post of non-executive-non-independent director of ZEE Media on July 22, 2020
