Sukhwant Dhadda

Sukhwant Dhadda is an Indian actor, director, and producer working in the Punjabi and Hindi film industries. He hails from rural Punjab and has two siblings who reside in the United Kingdom and the United States of America, respectively. Sukhwant Dhadda enrolled in a college in Jalandhar. After completing his studies, he focused on his work related to films. Sukhwant Dhadda started his cinematic journey with the 1986 Bollywood movie Ek Chadar Maili Si. From 1989 to 2020, he directed ten films comprising English, Hindi, Punjabi, and French language movies. The list includes Lahu Luhaan (1991), Siyasat (1992), Antim Nyay(1993), and Chooriyan (2015). Sukhwant Dhadda was the second unit director of the 1995-1997 television series Swabhiman. He featured in a supporting role in the 2011 film Hero Hitler In Love. Sukhwant Dhadda has written the screenplay of his 2015 directorial Punjabi film Chooriyan. He produced the 2002 Hindi movie Octave.

Sukhwant Dhadda has been the writer-producer of the 2015 Punjabi film Sant Te Sipahi and the multilingual drama Amrita Sher-Gil. Sukhwant Dhadda was also the writer-associate producer of the 2017 multilingual movie Sacramento River. Sukhwant Dhadda directed and wrote the story of the 2016 multilingual movie Red Bluff starring Consuelo Vega, Gary Nohealii, and Jaime Aymerich. Sukhwant Dhadda wrote and directed the 2020 Punjabi short film Songs of Silence. It got nominated in the Best Film category of the PTC Digital Film Festival and Awards 2022.
