Sudhanshu Vats

Sudhanshu Vats is the Deputy Managing Director at Pidilite Industries Limited. He has a profession of 30 years throughout the FMCG and Media sectors with a significant record of business growth and creating long-term value for all stakeholders of the company and the employees. Sudhanshu attended NIT Kurukshetra for B. Tech and later did post-graduation in management from IIM, Ahmadabad. Before joining Pidilite, Sudhanshu Vats was the Managing Director and CEO at EPL Limited, where he articulated the strategy of "Leading the Pack" with Sustainability at its core and well-defined five Must Win Battles will assist EPL in keeping its robust run in the years ahead.

Before EPL, he spent eight years as the Group CEO of Viacom18 Media Private Ltd. Under Sudhanshu’s leadership, Viacom18 grew from six to fifty-four channel communities across more than 80 countries, turning around its Filmed Entertainment business with content-led cinema. These include the Colors bouquet of general entertainment channels across several Indian languages, including MTV, Nickelodeon, Vh1, and Comedy Central. It additionally operates Voot. In 1999, Sudhanshu started his career with HUL as a management trainee for sales and marketing. He made Radiant the fastest-developing laundry logo. As head of the department, aggressively grew the share, revenue, and profitability of HUL in India. During his tenure at Unilever, he worked with many famous household brands, most considerably Lipton, Vim, Wheel, Surf, Rin, Lifebuoy, and Lux. 

During 2004-2005, Sudhanshu worked with BP in India as VP of Marketing and successfully re-launched the Castrol Master brand. He has also been the Chairman of the National Media and Entertainment Committee of CII, Vice President of the Indian Broadcasting Foundation, and Director of the Broadcast Audience Research Council.
