Sanjay Barai is a film producer who wanted to shine his career in Bollywood. There is a saying in the industry - who bears the brunt of a minimum or big budget movie that flops? Producer or the distributor.

Sanjay Barai is the producer of the movie Jhamela. The film was, in fact, Pawa Sawant’s movie in which Pawa was a singer, actor, producer, and music director too. The film was based on sentiments of a folk singer who wanted to spread folk music in the urban world.

It is a journey of a folk singer who wants to fulfill his dream in B-town. The producers of the movie presumably hoped that since the film is based on the B-town journey of a village land, it exclusively would create a buzz around the movie.

The drawback of the movie was that the producers had felt limiting the release would obviously limit takings. They must have hoped word of mouth from viewers, but this did not happen at all. No longer has the industry followed the old pattern when just one film got released in a particular week.

Now, there could be several movies. Hence, a busy week could also mean low visibility which in turn can spell bad news for the producer. This film eventually flopped as there was no proper storyline, bright acting or even soulful music. 

After seeing a movie like Jhamela getting released, it also throws out that most people in the industry do not understand the funding formulas for studios and film financing. Hence, we have not heard much about Sanjay Barai and Pawa Sawant after the debacle of Jhamela at the box office.
