Sameer Nair is an Indian producer who worked for the Hindi film industry. He was an Indian media executive and business professional and presently working as the CEO of Applause Entertainment Limited. Sameer played a significant role in gaining the Star TV network the number one slot in 2000 by launching Balaji daily soap serials on Star Plus and Kaun Banega Crorepati. He also played a significant role in the launch of Channel V, Star Utsav, Star Vijay, Star One, and Star Gold.
Nair completed his school at Wilson High School, Mumbai, and later moved to St. Xavier College. He got his Bachelor's degree in Economics from the University of Madras. In his early days, he spent some years in Mumbai in Yellow Pages and then moved to Chennai to start working in Advertising and Film Making with Goldwire and worked there for four years. As a producer, he worked in movies like Scam 2003: The curious case of Abdul Karim Telgi in 2022, Call My Agent in 2021, Hello Mini in 2021, Kaun Banega Shekhawati in 2020, Scam 1992: The Harshad Mehta Story in 2020, Mind the Malhotras in 2019, City of Dreams in 2019, Half Girlfriend in 2017, Great Grand Masti in 2016, and Pappu can't Dance Saala in 2010.
