Ranjib Mazumder

Ranjib Mazumder is an Indian producer, writer, screenwriter, creative director, columnist, and journalist. He has been working as a creative director at Applause Entertainment since July 2022. Before working as a creative director, Ranjib Mazumder was a commissioning editor at Applause Entertainment for over four years (Jun 2018 – Jun 2022). He studied at the Times School of Journalism in New Delhi. He went to Gauhati University in Assam, to pursue a Bachelor’s degree. He is fluent in different languages such as Assamese, Bengali, Hindi, and English.

Ranjib Mazumder was a correspondent at The Times of India in Kolkata for six months (Jan 2006 – Jun 2006). The magazine was published by Reliance MediaWorks Limited. He was a co-founder and editor-in-chief of Enlighten Publishing House in Mumbai for over three years (Aug 2010 – Aug 2013). Enlighten Publishing was dedicated to world literature at affordable prices. He was also a film programmer at Enlighten Film Company in Mumbai for over three years (Aug 2010 – Aug 2013). Ranjib Mazumder worked as a freelance contributor and freelance journalist at The Indian Express for over a year (Apr 2013 – Dec 2014). As a freelance columnist, he worked at The Hindu (Oct 2015 – Nov 2017) and The Quint (Feb 2015 – Feb 2020). Ranjib Mazumder has more than ten years of experience working in the media as a journalist with various media houses. He also taught "Understanding Cinema" and "Media Studies" as a guest lecturer in colleges of Mumbai. He also curated and programmed film festivals for the Enlighten Film Society.
