At the age of 18, she produced her first film, Sunaina, which was screened at BAFTA. Apart from her work, she is the Youth President of Mijwan Welfare Society, an NGO that works to empower women by providing employment. Namrata is the Goodwill Ambassador of Jet Airways, which works for social initiatives. She has also played a leading role in the film Black Pearl which revolve around the issue of marital rape. In 2018, she produced her first feature film, Manto, based on the life of an Urdu author, which was also nominated for a Filmfare Award.
