Cyrus Dastur is a producer in the Indian film industry. He is regarded as the founders of the Indian Short film movement, which was started nearly ten years ago. In 2007-08, he started to produce short films that were screened in the theatres of Mumbai and Pune. His concept was to spread a message through a short movie rather than making high budget films. And he thinks that more and more people will understand it easily.
He started his own company named 'Shamiana,’ a short film company, which has its screens in more than 15 cities and about 18 screenings in a month. His company has tie-ups with other big brands. Cyrus Dastur has also woked with some big personalities like Tom Alter and Anurag Kashyap. He recently opened a new production, 'Strangers In The Night.’ It is based on the English musical play set in the year 1960s. Cyrus also worked with the Feature Film Production and produced the film named 'Sweetie Weds Nri.’ Cyrus is the role model for most of the people who are willing to be a part of Indian cinemas.
