Arushi Nishank

Aarushi Nishank is an Indian film producer, film actress, environmentalist and social militant. She; was born on September 17, 1986 in Kotdwar, Uttarakhand. She; is the daughter of India's Union Cabinet Minister, Dr. Ramesh Pokhariyal Nishank. She; has done her graduation from the University of Cambridge. She; has presided over the International Women Empowerment Program in Dubai and New Delhi in 2018 and 2019 respectively. In 2019, she became one of the 20 women of excellence and was honoured at a congressional ceremony in Chicago. She is the chairman of the Himalayan ayurvedic Medical College and hospital in Dehradun. She; started her career by debuting as a producer of the regional movie Major Nirala in 2018, a film based on a novel written by her father Ramesh Pokhariyal.

She; played the lead role in the movie Tarini in 2021. She is also a good dancer and a world-renowned classical Indian Kathak dancer. She; has performed in international venues like London, Canada, and Dubai. Aarushi and her father launched the campaign to make the public aware of the growing problem of pollution in the Ganga river and to encourage people to clean the Ganga. She is both the co-founder and the chairperson of the Sparsh Ganga campaign.
