Akansha Khanna is a famous Indian producer born on 2 July 1983 in Mumbai, India. She graduated in Mass Media and Communications from Indraprastha College, Delhi. In 1999, She started as a production assistant as she loves meeting and working with new people and gathering knowledge about the art of filmmaking. She worked as an intern with "The Times of India" in 2000. After this experience, she created a show for television in which she interviewed leading politicians. Later she joined Lowe Lintas and Partners and worked in the client servicing department on leading brands like Woodland, Gold Soul, Dabur, Chambal Fertilizers, and HCFL. She felt good in the advertising line, which led her to learn from scratch.
So as a production manager, she worked on commercials and music with a production house. Then soon, she started producing commercials for products like Horlicks, Appolo Tyres, Dabur Vatika, Woodland, and Robin Blue. After that, she experimented with short films. She directed a 30-minute documentary on Journalism called "Khachaak" and a 5-minute short film titled "When the Lights Come Off.” These films were also nominated at the "First Frame" film festival in Delhi. She then thought of moving to the film capital of India, Mumbai. There she joined Sony Entertainment Television. She joined the department in charge of programming at Sony. Now she wanted to have International exposure. So she joined "Fremantle Media Entertainment Television" where she worked as a projects coordinator.
She also joined a production house, Optimistic, where she headed the advertising film division. Then she worked with The academy’s award-winning producer of Matrix and Lord of the Rings, Geon Studios Pvt Ltd, Barrie Osborne's company. After tasting so much success, she thought of doing something for herself. So in 2009, she started the boutique production house called "Silver Green Productions." She started producing a six days daily Marathi fiction drama series called "Tu Bhetsi Navayne." Then another drama series called "Runujhunu."
