Paroma Dasgupta

Paroma Dasgupta is a talented playback singer who is a budding personality in the Bollywood. Paroma hails from Phoolbagan in Kolkata. She was exposed to music from a young age because her mother Manjushree Dasgupta was a classical singer. She professionally learned music from the famed Ustad Ghulam Niyaz Khan in Kolkata.

She has been a part of prestigious educational institutions such as Loreto College and Jadavpur University. She traveled to Mumbai to continue her post graduation in English Literature. Once in Mumbai, she started to sing for advertisement jingles for many brands. This is how she started her music career.

Maruti, Future Group, Neslac, Whirlpool, Horlicks, Maggie, Videocon, and Vicco are some of the brands for which Paroma has sung in. She got her big break in the silver screens from the movie Department. This movie was released on the silver screen, in the year 2012.
