Nahid Afrin

Nahid Afrin is an Indian Playback Singer. She works in the Hindi and Assamese Musical Industry. Nahid was born on the 13th of December in the year 2001. She was born in Biswanath Chariali, Assam. Her father’s name is Anowar Ansari, and her mother’s name is Fatema Ansari. She has a younger brother whose name is Faiz Anowar. She used to sing at a very young age. She would sing while she was three years old. Her first guru who taught her music is Biblee Bhagwati. She later went to Bhatkande Kala Kendra in Assam where she studied music. She had her schooling from Little Star School in Biswanath Chariali. She performed many stage performances in Assam before she started her professional career. Her hobbies are singing, acting, drawing, and playing tennis. Nahid participated in the Indian Idol Junior in the 2015 edition. She stood as the runner-up of the season.

She became very famous after her participation in Indian Idol. She received many appraisals during the show. Nahid made her debut as a playback singer with the Hindi Film Akira (2016). Nahid is appointed as the Youth Advocate of the North-Eastern region by United Nations International Children’s Emergency Fund in December of 2018. She won a Best Playback Singer Award at Assam State Film Award for her song Akuli Bikuli in 2017.
