Truptraj Pandya

Truptraj Pandya’s full name is Truptraj Atul Pandya. He is a famous Indian tabla player & percussionist. He was born on October 23, 2006. His father’s name is Atul Pandya, and his mother’s name is Veena Pandya. His nationality is Indian. Truptraj Pandya has been living in Mumbai, Maharashtra, India. He loves to play basketball. When Truptraj Pandya’s grandmother used to recite devotional songs, he would sit beside her and play aluminum dabbas as an instrument. He was just two years of age when he became the youngest tabla master around the world. Truptraj Pandya even gave his first public performance at the age of two at Somaiya College in Mumbai, Maharashtra.

He performed live at All India Radio at the age of three. Moreover, Truptraj Pandya earned a certificate from the Guinness Book of World Records for being the youngest ever tabla master. After that, he gave brilliant performances, showing off his master skills. Truptraj Pandya has polished his skills under the proper guidance of Ustad Zakir Hussain’s disciple, Dhyaneshwar Popalghat. He is also blessed by legendary Ustad Iqbal Ahmad Khan and Pandit Hari Prasad Chouarsiya. Truptraj Pandya says he can cut short the duration of his practice but never skip it. He feels lucky to have a caring, encouraging, and supportive parent. His father would accompany him to his performances, managing his entire schedule. Truptraj Pandya also gets support from his school.

Any of the school events is incomplete without his musical performance. Truptraj Pandya also served as the school’s basketball team captain for four years. He very well manages his studies and music career. Truptraj Pandya loves reading History books. Also, he has been a performer and speaker at TEDx Hinduja, Mumbai, and TEDx Bandra, Mumbai, where he show & talk about his love for music and passion for playing tabla. Truptraj Pandya has given over two hundred public performances and also has been invited as a guest of honor at significant events such as Mind Mingle Inspirational Festival, Seminars, and stage shows. He was honored with Bal Kala Ratna award by the All India Radio. He was conferred with the Bal Shakti Purashkar in 2019.
