Aditya Khandwe is a young male vocalist. He belongs to a rich lineage of doyens of the Jaipur Gharana through his guru, Ganyogini Smt. Dhondutai Kulkarni. Aditya's songs have a distinct Jaipur and Gwalior flavour. The authentic form of raga is the reason behind his huge fan following. He has learnt this art through the conventional gurukul method. His mother, Vidya Khandwe, is a performing Hindustani Classical vocalist. Under her guidance, Aditya was exposed to the Benares style of Thumri. Aditya received his initial teachings from his mother. He then came under the guidance of the Late Pt. Ratnakar Pai for practice in Jaipur Gayaki. Moreover, He has also received teachings in Gwalior Gayaki from the Late Pt. Yashwant Bua Joshi. He took advanced training in Jaipur Gayaki from the Late Ganyogini Pandita Dhondutai Kulkarni. Aditya is learning from Pt.
Ulhas Kashalkar nowadays. Aditya's major achievements include the "Ustad Bismillah Khan Award'' awarded by the Sangeet Natak Akademi, New Delhi; Graded artist of All India Radio in the A Grade category; “Pt. Ramkrishnabua Vaze Puraskar – 2014” conferred by Gandharva Mahavidyalaya, Pune; “Sangeet Shiromani Puraskar - 2012” conferred by Shanmukhananda Sabha, Mumbai; “Pt. Mallikarjun Mansoor Yuva Puraskar – 2011” Dharwad awarded by the Govt. of Karnataka; Gyana Pravah - Kolkata Scholarship for 2009; “SURMANI” title conferred by Sur Singar Samsad, Mumbai in 2008. Additionally, he has been a winner of the Acharya Vishwanath Dev Sarma Art Foundation and Vedic Heritage Inc. competition in 2006 in Classical Vocal held in New York, USA. Aditya has released his classical music records, namely "Rising Stars'' by Sonic Octaves and "Dharohar" by Red Ribbon Entertainment.
