Anish Sood

Anish Sood is also known as Anyasa. He is an Indian songwriter, music producer, and DJ. He was born on November 22, 1989. Anish Sood’s place of birth is Goa, India. He completed his high school studies at Vasco da Gama, Goa. Then, he went to the Goa Engineering College, to pursue a bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering. His uncle and father are guitar players. At nine, he began collecting CDs and cassettes. When he was fifteen, he started DJing in high school, and his first exposure to electronic music was Armin Jozef Jacobus Buuren’s “A State of Trance” podcast. 

Anish Sood quickly went on to play local nightclubs in Goa. He has been booked to play at Indian festivals, including NH7 Weekender, Sunburn Festival in Goa, and Enchanted Valley Carnival. Anish Sood received the prestigious MyFav Best House DJ & DJ of the Year Awards in April 2014. In May 2014, he launched Sunburn On Air in collaboration with Sunburn Festival, a weekly podcast. On November 13, 2016, he performed at the debut electronic dance music festival “Electric Daisy Carnival in New Delhi.

Anish Sood launched his own label “Class Aaction” and the single “Don’t Stop” in 2017, featuring vocals from Los Angeles’s singer Charlie Sputnik. He has been featured on American international monthly men’s magazine GQ (India’s 50 best dressed Indian men list) in 2014, 2015, and 2016. He is also a co-founder of a NGO, the India Nightlife Collective. The NGO is dedicated to assist at-risk nightlife industry workers.
