Anurag Shanker is a freelance music producer/composer based in Mumbai, India. Due to his father's background, Anurag Shanker, had been a musician since he was a student, thus entering record production shortly after graduating from college. Since 2006, Anurag has worked for a production company called Music Design Workshop, working and producing music for various record companies and independent clients. He has worked with artists from Manganiyars in Rajasthan for contemporary Indian and pure Indian records, as well as Sunanda Sharma, Pratyush Banerjee, R Manju R Manjunath, and other Galana classical singers and instrumentalists. As a composer, he has been for more than ten years, TV commercials, web series, short and feature films, and more films, the last six of which are in the Mumbai metropolis. Composition has always been his ultimate goal, and he continues to gain the same knowledge from various musicians and teachers.
Anurag plays guitar and creates music through a number of projects, namely Slow Down Clown, Namit Das + Anurag Shanker, Last Remaining Light, and Bombay Acoustic People, among which he likes to work and play in different ways and continue every album and song. He composed all the background music for the first season of the 2018 TV series "Karenjit Kaur-The Untold Story of Sunny Leon" directed by Aditya Dutt and produced by Namah Pictures. He also worked with Arfaaz to produce the soundtrack and score for the incredible independent film "Sulemani Keeda", which was released in India in December 2014 and received enthusiastic reviews from critics and audiences. He created the background music for the 67- minute film "Ghar ka Pata Madhulika Jhalali", which’s highly praised at the Dharamsala International Film Festival.
