He has received training in both Western, and Hindustani classical music. His music is renowned for fusing ethnic, folk, and classical themes with avant-garde electronic and hallucinogenic layers. In addition, he received the prestigious NoHu International Short Festival's Best Music Composer Award in 2015 for his work on Amartya's film "Benaras—The Unexplored Attachments."

Ed. program from the University of Burdwan.
