Datta Naik is a famous music director. Datta Naik was born on 12 December 1927 in Goa. Datta composed many Hindi songs that became hits in the 19's. Datta is so passionate about music that in his early childhood, he left his house and came to Bombay. In Bombay, he learned classical music. Datta used to perform on the streets of Bombay, and the occasion Where Sachin Dev Burman found his talent.

Datta also composed for Marathi films. He wrote songs for Punjabi films with his friend Sahir Ludhianvi.His last film was Chehre Pe Chehra.
