Arko Pravo Mukherjee is a very famous music composer and has produced some wonderful and soulful songs in the recent past. He is a very multi-talented person as he not only composes music but also writes lyrics and sings too.

Arko was born in the city of Kolkata on 19 of May in the year 1983. He took birth to parents Dr. Apurba Kumar Mukherjee and Mrs. Mahasweta Mukherjee and was a very intellectual one.Arko did his education from Don Bosco School that was in Park Circus in Kolkata. His father always wanted him to become a doctor, so he pursued MBBS from Burdwan Medical College in the year 2007 and was declared a gold medalist.

Arko has been credited to have made some really beautiful and famous songs. The first song which marks the debut of this music director was for Jism 2. Other songs that he has composed are for the movie ‘Yaariyaan’ and had won several nominations and awards for the Best Music Director.
Arko had to meet some serious accusation of copying a Turkish song and making it into the title songs of Jism 2 titled ‘Yeh Jism’. However, Arko was ardently refuting such accusations and considered this to be a matter of coincidence and that every song resembles some other song but none can be termed as been plagiarized or copied.

Arko feels himself to be very lucky to have got the ‘right’ kind of break with Jism 2 and is very grateful for it. Arko claims that he always wanted to become a music composer and doing MBBS was just to please his father who wanted him to study hard just like other people of his family did. His parents, however, were very supportive of him when he planned to leave the profession of a doctor to become a music composer.
