Mohammad Salamat is a famous Indian musician and sound artist working mainly in the Hindi entertainment industry. He was born on 4 January 1976 in Mumbai, Maharashtra. Being a well-known music artist, he participated in several shows and concert recordings. At the beginning of his career, he worked for the movie Maharani in 1996 as a playback singer. He got a Major Break in his career from Sanjay Leela Bhansali's film Hum Dil De Chuke Sanam in 1999. He sang the title track for the movie, a great hit of that time. Later, he sang for famous movies like Devdas, Kisna, Shakti - The Power (2002), Baaz - A Bird in Danger (2003), Hathyar, 23 March 1931 Shaheed (2002, Love in Japan (2006), Jeena To Hai (2008), Sanam Hum Aapke Hain (2009), Mai Krishna Hoon (2013), Bin Phere Free Mein Tere (2013), and Riyasat (2014.
He had also worked as a performer of the soundtracks like Hum Dil De Chuke Sanam (1999), Jhoomti Ghata Mai ( Shakti: 2002), Nazar Nazar & Thamba Re Thamba (Hathyar: 2002), and Do Dhaari Talvaar (Mere Brother ki Dulhan: 2011). Mohammad Salamat also sang for AR Rahman's Olympic Song for London Olympics 2011. He has honored with the Prize For Best Singer Award 1996, Delhi by renowned music director Usha Khannaji. Mr. Mohammed Rafi Saab Award was another achievement awards for him presented by Naushad and Ravi.
