Tora Khasgir Borhani

Tora Khasgir Bohrani is an actress and a supermodel who has worked in the Bollywood industry. Born and raised in Nagao, Assam, Tora did her schooling from All Saints Diosecan High School in Shillong. During her school days, Tora was much more interested in athletics than in academics. Tora also cleared all of the NCC certificates and she became one of the youngest ever candidates to represent her state. She also held the privilege of leading the Guard of Honor for the Prime Minister’s rally. Along with all this, Tora was also excelling very well in the sports department as she was winning most of the competitions. After her school, Tora got a degree in neuropathy. Tora in her own words describes herself as an accidental model, it was her friends who pushed her to go into modelling competitions. Tora was the first runner up in Miss Guwahati and soon moved to Mumbai after her graduation. In Mumbai, Tora started getting offers from everywhere. She did ramp walk for some of the leading brands. Through modelling, Tora got a role in her first movie ‘Pyaar Mein Kabhi Kabhi’ in 1998. Her next movie was Dillagi in 1999 and Tora worked in a few more movies.

But Tora soon returned back to modelling where she would participate in global events like the Lakme Fashion Week.  She was also closely working with Gladrags where she would groom and train super models. This is a foundation that works as a platform for young aspiring models and anchors and actors from the North East part of India, where Tora and her team groom them.
