Divina Thakur is a Malayalam actress well known for her work in the movie Veeram. She was born and raised in Indore. She completed her schooling from Indore. She did her graduation in Journalism. During her school days, she used to take part in many plays and drama as well. She learned dancing when she was young. Divina Thakur used to do modeling assignments when she was in college. She has done many advertisements as well. She started her career by working as a model in many advertisements units. She did advertisements for Joy Alukkas, Renault Cars, Fiama Di Wills, Jos Alukkas, Bajaj Alliances, Panasonic mobiles, Medimix, and many more. She has also completed many modeling assignments when she worked as a model for various magazine covers. In 2017, she worked in a short film, named ‘Greetings of the Day’, directed by Krishnan Nallappa. The short films star cast included names like Abhyangh Kuvalekar, Akshay Mithare, and Divinaa Thakur. The short film won the award for Best Screenplay. The short film was based on the story of a girl who has just been through a recent breakup. After few days of her break up, she was supposed to meet a boy for an arranged marriage meeting. Though she was not ready for marriage yet, she goes on the insistence of her parents. She was hoping that the boy would have enough sense to understand her and say No to their match. But all is not as it seems and what happens after they met, is what 'Greetings of the day' is all about. After that, she worked in a TV series named “Romy and Jugal,” directed by Nupur Asthana, starring Mandira Bedi, Manini M. Mishra, Suchitra Pillai, Vritika Ramnani, Srishti Ganguli Rindani, Divinaa Thakur, and many more. The TV series was made on the story of two men who fall in love. Recently, she worked in Veeram, a Malayalam movie, which released in Hindi, English, and Malayalam, directed by Jayaraaj. The movie’s star cast included names like Aaryan, Kunal Kapoor, Bilas Nair, Ketaki Narayan, Shivaji Padmanabhan, Divinaa Thakur, and Himarsha Venkatsamy. The film was based on the ballads of North Malabar and narrates the tale of the brave and ambitious Kalarippayattu warrior, Chandu, whose story resembles that of William Shakespeare's Macbeth. The movie was shot in Kerela, Aurangabad, and Agra. She is a humble person and when was asked her experience on working in her debut movie, she said, “The movie comprised of many debut actors and we all were treated well and equally in the set.”
