Samiksha Bhatt is an Indian actress and TV artist hailing from Dungarpur, Rajasthan. Born to Late Rachana Bhatt, a bank manager, and Dr. Raghava Bhatt, Samiksha Bhatt kick-started her career with a prominent role in ‘Ballad of Rustom’ which is widely acclaimed as her magnum opus. Ballad of Rustom was considered in Best Feature Film category in the 86th Academy Awards. The movie was completed along with her graduation course at Manipal University.
She also appeared as Sita, in ‘Sankat Mochan Hanumaan’, a mythological, devotional TV drama series- completing 230 episodes and also as ‘Chandani’ in ‘Uff! Yeh Nadaniyaan’ in around 120 episodes. Chandani Verma aka Chandu is the man of the family, juggling her office job, husband and brother in law singlehandedly all the while berating them for their laziness. Besides films and serials, she has also done telefilms like ‘Naermugam’, in Tamil and short films like ‘Valentine’. Naermugam went on to bag the award for Best Film given away by Kalaignar TV.
For her work in Valentine, Samiksha won the award for Best Actress in the Lake city International Film Festival. She has also donned the role of Chief Assistant Director for ‘Hinsa par Vijay’ and has done a commercial for Mortein. Currently, she lives in Mumbai where she had been living since 2012 to suit to her career. Samiksha is also a part of a theater group by the name ‘Pritha’.
Being an engineering graduate in Electronics and Communication from Manipal University, Samiksha had given up her job as a software engineer and a steady income in an American firm in Bangalore to devote her time and attention to acting. Although she is a juvenile actor, Samiksha Bhatt’s well-chosen and well-executed works are a testimony to her ability as an actor and future in the film industry.
