Born in West Bengal, Rinku Ghosh could never actually spend time in her native land as she was brought up in Kerala, because her father was in the Navy. She has the dusky look that can leave you breathless and speechless. When she was old enough she returned to the east of the country and was an absolute success in the Bhojpuri films. It also earned her a lot of accolades and awards. If you say her name anywhere in the Bhojpuri belt, even a child can tell you about her without even taking a break. Worked alongside veteran actors like Ravi Kishen and , no one could overshadow Rinku, who is known to deliver power packed performances. Some of her Bhojpuri hits include ‘Bharat Bhagya Vidhata’ and ‘Tu Hain Hamar Balma’. No wonder she is known as the Dreamgirl of Bhojpuri films.

Apart from Bhojpuri films she did many Hindi movies like ‘Chalak’, ‘Wrong Number’ and many others. She also has a Telugu film to her name- ‘Rave Naa Chaliya’. Apart from movies she is also known for her roles on the small screen. Starting from her role in ‘Mrs Pammi Pyarelal’, alongside the very talented actor , where Param played by Gaurav pretends to be a woman married to his best friend. The show was a hit and so was Rinku’s role as Mohini. Rinku also starred in shows like ‘’ and ‘’ but wherever she went and whatever role she did, she never failed to entertain the audiences.
