Nadira Babbar, is a renowned and extremely talented theatre actress in India. She was born on 20th January, in the year 1948 in Mumbai. Her upbringing implemented an entrenched culture into her. From the role of ‘Desdemona’ to ‘Sauteli Ma’ she had performed all her characters with equal competency and zeal. Some of her best-known roles are ‘Dali’, in ‘Jasma Odhan’, ‘Abbie’ in ‘Desire Under the Elms’, ‘’ in ‘Sandhya Chhaya’. She is also a director of plays and has portrayed few characters in Hindi cinema as well. She was attributed as the ‘victor’ of “” in the year 2001. She is also the founder of ‘Ekjute’, a theatre group of Mumbai that was established in the year 1981.
