Keerthi Reddy was always drawn towards cinema and she wanted to become an actress when she was in the third standard. But she hardly knew if she could ever achieve it. She stooped studying further after she completed her HSC and took a break from studies and entered the silver screen. She was spotted by Tamil actor Naseer, who had cast her in his film ‘’Devathai’’, after watching her in a cultural programme organized in school. Her break in cinema was a pure luck and she did not knock on doors to doors to get her first role. After she started with ‘’Devathai’’, she got “Ninaivirukkum Varai’’, another Tamil film starring Prabhu Deva.

After her popularity in Telugu cinema, she made an appearance as Abhishek Bachchan's costar in ‘’Tera Jadoo Chal Gayaa’’. The film was not a success, although she was spotted well as a carefree girl. Since she could not make her presence felt in Bollywood, she concentrated in regional cinema, such as Tamil, Telugu and Kannada. In 2002, she acted in ‘’Superstar’’(Kannada), and again in 2004, she was seen in ‘’Arjun’’(Telugu) in which she received the best supporting actress role.

In 2004, she tied knot with actor Nagarjuna’s nephew Sumanth, but in 2006, the couple got a divorce. Again she got married and now has a son. Kavya Shetty Hindi Actress

Kavya Shetty

Kavya Shetty is another Mangalorean actress in Sandalwood who stepped into the Kannada film industry as a passion. It could be almost like achieving a new milestone towards her passion. After finishing her engineering in computers, she took up acting and modeling as a passion and her choice, which later turned out to be a profession later. Although model Kavya Shetty came to showcase her talent as a debutante in the film “I am in Love”, she came to limelight much earlier as a contestant in 2011 Femina Miss India beauty pageant. Having been in front of the camera on the ramp, she did not find it difficult to face the arc lights at all. As a modeler, she also discovered the truth that fashion shows are just one-day affairs. However, that is not the case with movies where she can continue for months in shooting. So, she made her ambition to get into big screen and fetched good roles. Although glamour world is not a new to her, she did not get tensed facing camera with established actors at all. While studying, she took modeling and was a recognized face in model world throughout India. Although her first film was I am in Love (2012), she got another chance for a role in bi-lingual flick Shivani (Tamil and Telugu), where she played a role of journalist. Both the films got delayed in production. Shetty’s another release was Kannada film “Nam Duniya Nam Style” (2013) by Preetham Gubbi. In this film, she was appreciated a lot by critics. This bubbly, pretty actress is a dream chaser in the business of cinema. She will be seen as a leading actress in ‘Vijayaditya’ opposite Dhananjay, which is a social drama-cum-fantasy film. She also has a couple of Tamil films which is under production.
