Gauri Gadgil is an International Swimmer from Pune, India. She is a silver Medalist in the special Olympics in Australia (2013) and China (2008). Gauri was diagnosed with Down Syndrome since birth, but that didn't stop her from reaching heights.
Gauri set a fantastic example by being successful in her career, education, and also acting. She played a lead role in the Marathi film 'Yellow' (2014), where she was the actor. The film depicts her real life based on the true story of the struggles and situations she faced.
The film 'Yellow' won many hearts, Gauri received 'Special Jury Mention' on the 61st National film awards in the year 2014 by the Honorable Former President of India Pranab Mukherjee, which made India proud. Gauri spread a message that 'Children should be encouraged in life to do something.'
