Yashluv Virwani is a writer and actor who has appeared in a few short films. Yashluv was born and brought up in Gujarat, he did not have any hopes to get into the entertainment world, he grew up as a fan of writing and movies but never much thought about making a career out of it. After completing his schooling, he joined Nirma University, Gujarat to pursue his BTech in Mechanical Engineering. It was during his graduation days, when he started to write and develop short stories. After completing his graduation, he joined a theatre group and started working as a theatre artist. With his theatre group, he worked on the incredible street-play adaptation of Toba Tek Singh which is based on Saadat Hasan Manto’s short story. During this time, Yashluv was also working on his first-ever book, which is titled ‘Window Seat’ which was published by Half Baked Beans. Window Seat is a collection of 8 short stories of ordinary people, but they are written in such magical ways that they transcend into something beautiful. In an interview for the release of his book, Yashluv was asked about the reasons for letting the characters in the book remain nameless, to which he replied by saying he would like the reader to run with his imagination and not judge the character by his name because name creates a religion, which totally changes the viewing of the reader. In the same interview, Yashluv explained how Imtiaz Ali’s Rockstar is his favorite movie, with Ranbir Kapoor Ranbir Kapoor is a noted Indian film actor. Yashluv was particularly impressed by the pain and depth in the story of Ranbir’s character in Rockstar, something he often draws parallels to in his life.

A few months after achieving all this, Yashluv began working for Bosch as an engineer. After a year, he left Bosch and is now working for Terribly Tiny Tales, where he is the content lead for social media. Yashluv constantly posts many short stories(which TTT is famous for) and he also has acted, written and directed a few short films produced by Terribly Tiny Tales. His short films are Exes and Why, Menopause and a few others. Yashluv’s main inspiration for becoming a writer are Paul Coelho, Jhumpa Lahiri and Eli Shafak. Even though he doesn’t cite Paul as a direct influence, he just likes some of his writings. Currently, besides leading the content creation at Terribly Tiny Tales, Yashluv is also working very hard on his next book.
